We'd like to include a section in "The Mockingbird Project" (that's our book's title) that we're currently calling "The Dictionary." The idea is not for it to be like The Skeleton Key (a comprehensive dictionary of Grateful Dead terms and names), but rather just a supplemental collection of community language and names that's not covered elsewhere. As you might guess, we're not exactly sure exactly what information will finally appear in the "Dictionary" section as opposed to other sections of the book. This is a great opportunity for vets and newbies alike to get involved, as we try to collect both passed-down and freshly-baked conceptions of what things are and what they mean. So in other words, please "define" away! Appropriate suggestions might include selections from Phish lore, common phrases used from songs, slang used in the taping culture, names and faces from the band and fan crowds, and on and on. You get the idea. If you need ideas, we're looking for definitions for these, at least as a very rough start: Abrahams, Dave
Use the form below if you can; otherwise email your submissions to me at ellis@netspace.org. In either case, please give *all* the information requested in the form, especially your first and last name so we can credit you in the book.
Thanks!
