April 21, 2002 Phish has now been on hiatus for eighty weeks, beginning October 8, 2000. During the previous eighteen years, Phish performed over 610 songs and some 1425 shows, and a vast record of those performances exists in the collection of Phish fans. Many Phish fans who initially joined the band in taking a break from the music, are now returning to their collections of live shows. As part of its efforts toward the second edition of The Phish Companion, the Mockingbird Foundation encourages you to return to your collection as well. In particular, we invite you to provide feedback on any (or every) show detailed in the first edition. You may download an Excel spreadsheet (MyMbirdScores.xls) from our website, complete as much of it as you like, and return it to be combined with feedback from other fans like yourself. Rate as many shows you like, on the "Gotta Have It" index (evaluating the show itself) and/or the Scarcity index (evaluating the relative availability of each show), and help us build a better book. Download Now: Please submit contributions to mockingbird@netspace.org. The Foundation is a nonprofit organization and will not profit from the book -- proceeds will benefit music education for children. We look forward to your contributions, will continue to acknowledge all contributors in each edition, and thank you for helping benefit music education for children! The Mockingbird Foundation
P.S. For information on other ways to contribute to the second edition, please see our recent Call for Contributions for the second edition.
